The true life story of Lou Morales, who grew up on the streets of Sunset Park in the early to late 80s, joined a skinhead gang, and found his way to faith in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Lou tracks his journey growing up in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn in the late 70s — early 80s, when the neighborhood was in decline and gangs ruled different street corners throughout the neighborhood. His candid account of fear and uncertainty resonates with many who grew up in the same time period. Lou also recounts what it was like in the public school system in New York City during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

He then brings you to the scarred and sketchy streets of the Lower East Side, when he became a skinhead. Lou was the youngest member of the Sunset Skinhead Crew, named after their neighborhood, Sunset Park. His journey on the streets and clubs of New York ultimately led him down a path to faith, and his life has never been the same since. Lou describes with accurate detail what is was like on the streets, and brings us into his newfound faith and experiences on the mission field, as a husband, father and missionary. He also brings to bear the perspective of someone who was an outsider, then found hope, faith and love in the person of Jesus.
